1. Registration and Personal Data
You do not need to register to order from the online shop. You can register for the online shop to make your purchase faster in the future and view your orders. The user ID is the email address entered during registration; the password is set by the Customer during registration. Your username and password are personal. The Customer is responsible for storing their user ID and password and for ensuring that they do not end up in the knowledge or possession of third parties. The Customer shall be responsible for all use and any costs or fees arising from the use of the User ID and the password.
The Customer must provide the necessary information in the online shop to use the service. The Seller has the right to process the Customer’s personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Act and other legislation. Customer information is stored in the e-commerce customer register. The Seller will not disclose the Customer’s personal data to third parties for the purposes of direct advertising, distance selling or other direct marketing. The Customer’s data is deleted from the customer register when it is no longer needed.
2. Ordering
As a rule, products and services are ordered online at shop.karelia.fi via the shopping basket. All orders are confirmed by email indicating the price of the order and the products and services ordered. To receive an order confirmation, you must provide an email address when you order. In connection with each order, the Customer undertakes to comply with the terms of use and delivery of the online shop and the special terms and conditions applicable to the product and service to be ordered.
3. Payment Methods
Products and services are paid for in connection with the order. Online payment takes place via a secure connection via the Verifone BlueCommerce service. Payment transfers provides Verifone Finland Oy (0943819-9).
4. Prices and VAT
For orders placed in the online shop, the valid price is the price that is displayed in the online shop price list at the time of the order. Rights to price changes reserved. All prices are in euros (EUR). The product prices shown in the online shop include the current value added tax.
5. Delivery Time and Method
If the product is in our warehouse, we will ship the product within 7 working days of the order being registered in our system. The products are delivered by post. The services are provided according to a pre-announced schedule.
6. Returns and Exchanges
The customer has the right to cancel, exchange and return the product for 14 days in accordance with the Finnish Consumer Protection Act. We will not receive returns more than 14 days after delivery. The product to be returned/replaced and the original product packaging must be in the same condition as it was when received. All costs arising from the return/exchange are paid by the returnee, unless there is a clear error in the delivery due to the supplier.
There is always a separate agreement on product returns with the supplier. We ask the Customer to contact the supplier before returning the product.
7. Service Maintenance, Usability and Error Situations
The Seller will do their best to ensure that the e-commerce activities are correct and uninterrupted. The Seller has the right to suspend the e-commerce due to a change, reform or technical reason related to the online commerce, or due to the repair, installation or maintenance of the telecommunications network or other similar reason, or if required by legislation or other official regulation. The aim is to schedule the interruptions so that they do not cause unreasonable harm to the Customer.
The Seller shall not be liable for errors resulting from interruption of, or errors in, telecommunications connections or other telecommunications services provided by a third party. The Seller is also not liable for errors caused by the Customer’s use of the online shop in violation of instructions or regulations or otherwise caused by the Customer.
8. Data Security
The online store is secured using SSL. The Customer is responsible for the proper management of the information security of its own information systems. The Seller will keep any information concerning or sent by the Customer confidential. The Seller organises the information security of its online shop in a generally acceptable and efficient manner and uses appropriate technical solutions to prevent unauthorised access to its information systems.
9. Hardware, Software and Connections
The Customer is responsible for the acquisition, functionality and costs of the hardware, software and network connections required to use the online shop. They may not cause disturbance or other inconvenience to the online shop or other users of the network.
10. Liability for Damages
The Seller shall only be liable to the Customer for any direct damages caused by negligence in breach of the contract. If it can be concluded that this is a fault of the Seller, the Customer can be compensated for the costs unduly recovered from the Customer in the online shop.
The Seller shall not be liable for damages or other direct or indirect damages or compensation resulting from the disruptions or errors mentioned in paragraph 6.
12. Force Majeure
Force majeure exempts the Seller from obligations related to e-commerce if it prevents or unreasonably hinders the provision of e-commerce. Force majeure includes fire, earthquake, flood, explosion, strike or other work stoppage, official orders, disruptions in the supply of energy, shortages of raw materials or supplies, cable or other communications disruptions caused by an external party, or other similar reasons that have not been known and for which it has not been reasonably possible to prepare in advance. The Seller reports the force majeure on the website of the online shop as soon as it becomes apparent, if the notification is possible to make.
13. Changing Terms of Use and Delivery
The Seller has the right to change these terms of use and delivery of the online shop after notifying the trader of the changes in the online shop well before the changes enter into force.
14. Settlement of Disputes
Any disputes during the agreement period will always be resolved primarily through mutual negotiations. If no agreement can be reached in the negotiations, the matter shall be submitted to the District Court for a decision in accordance with Finnish law.
